🚩 OPEN — the channel. Open flags = the gopher’s work list. Nothing here is wiped until resolved.
Jake, 2026-10-20 ~5:20pm PT: “Open flag/prompt MD is the channel of communication. You load it, gopher
gophers and returns resolved flags with cited sources and logic. Open flags remain here until dated
reconciliation or resolution and added to the vault. Then they get wiped. Nothing from here is ever wiped
until resolved.”
THIS FILE IS THE SINGLE SOURCE OF TRUTH FOR WHAT IS OPEN. The nightly prompt is assembled FROM it.
Resolved flags leave this file only after (a) both parties have a source, (b) the resolution is written to
LEDGER.md with both citations, and (c) it is filed in the Wiki-Brain vault. Then, and only then, wiped.
HOW A FLAG CLOSES — the two-party rule, with the asymmetry stated
Both tools verify. But the gopher’s web reach is better than Claude’s (Jake: “his web is more capable
than yours”). So the division is:
- The gopher fetches what Claude cannot reach — paywalled, JS-rendered, 403’d, or simply faster. For
those, exact quoted text + a dated URL or filing reference IS adequate as the gopher’s half.
- Claude verifies what it CAN reach (EDGAR, FRED, Google News RSS, the vault’s own series) and reconciles
against the vault — perimeters, prior statements, republish dates.
- A flag closes when both halves are on the record and agree. Disagreement →
DISPUTED in LEDGER.md
with both citations; Claude rules; the losing citation stays visible.
FLAG SHAPE
### F-NNN · <name> opened YYYY-MM-DD
- WHAT: one line — the watchable
- CLOSES ON: the specific artefact (a filing, a print, an IR page, a regulator notice)
- GOPHER: ⬜ | <quoted text> · <outlet> · <ORIGINAL date> · <URL or filing ref> · PRIMARY|SECONDARY
- CLAUDE: ⬜ | <same five fields, independently>
- STATE: OPEN | PROPOSED-CLOSE (one half in) | CLOSED (both in, agree) | DISPUTED | EXPIRED
A flag needs three things to be here at all: a named instrument (or an explicit not investable), a
specific closing artefact, and a date or window. ⚠️ A flag whose date is unknown cannot fire — the date
is then its own flag. Proposals that fail the bar go in ## INTAKE below with the reason, never deleted.
OPEN FLAGS
BATCH 001 — THE UNRESOLVED DATES (opened 2026-10-20)
*Why first: a SpaceX quarterly report was missed because its date field held ⬜. A sweep found nine more.
Each closes on a DATE from a PRIMARY. “NOT FOUND as of , query " is a valid close.*
F-001 · ALM — Almonty investor-day content opened 2026-10-20
- WHAT: the 2026-10-19 6:00am PT investor-day webcast was held; content unrecorded. Did it reaffirm, move, or not address the 2026-10-24 Sangdong first shipment? (a live dated flag in the vault)
- CLOSES ON: replay / deck / transcript on Almonty IR
- GOPHER: ⬜ · CLAUDE: ⬜ · STATE: OPEN
F-002 · NOW — ServiceNow Q3 date, BMO or AMC opened 2026-10-20
- WHAT: vault carries “~2026-10-22 (⬜ confirm)”
- CLOSES ON: ServiceNow IR events page or an 8-K
- GOPHER: ⬜ · CLAUDE: ⬜ · STATE: OPEN
F-003 · Nscale S-1/A filing date opened 2026-10-20
- CLOSES ON: EDGAR accession + filing date, or “none filed as of "
- GOPHER: ⬜ · CLAUDE: ⬜ · STATE: OPEN
F-004 · ONDS — the FY27 defense appropriations action and date opened 2026-10-20
- CLOSES ON: congressional calendar / committee markup schedule
- GOPHER: ⬜ · CLAUDE: ⬜ · STATE: OPEN
F-005 · Samsung Q3 preliminary results date — MAY ALREADY HAVE PASSED opened 2026-10-20
- WHAT: the memory flag’s window was 10/07→10/14 assuming last year’s pattern; if released, give the date AND the headline figure
- CLOSES ON: Samsung Electronics IR
- GOPHER: ⬜ · CLAUDE: ⬜ · STATE: OPEN
F-006 · LTRX — Lantronix Q1 FY27 report date opened 2026-10-20
- CLOSES ON: Lantronix IR or an 8-K
- GOPHER: ⬜ · CLAUDE: ⬜ · STATE: OPEN
F-007 · COMPUTE FUTURES — CME launch date opened 2026-10-20
- WHAT: 10/5 date dropped; CFTC review extended 2026-09-21, “Approval Pending”
- CLOSES ON: a CME notice with a date, or the CFTC filing-status page + any statutory deadline. ⚠️ cmegroup.com 503s to Claude’s container — reaching it is itself the finding.
- GOPHER: ⬜ · CLAUDE: ⬜ · STATE: OPEN
F-008 · NVDA · AVGO · MU — three separate earnings dates opened 2026-10-20
- CLOSES ON: each company’s own IR. A range closes nothing.
- GOPHER: ⬜ · CLAUDE: ⬜ · STATE: OPEN
F-009 · TANKERS — the MJDA committee track, last/next meeting opened 2026-10-20
- CLOSES ON: a named outlet with the ORIGINAL date. “No further meeting scheduled” is a valid close.
- GOPHER: ⬜ · CLAUDE: ⬜ · STATE: OPEN
- WHAT: “cash $51.29B vs est. $91.2B” is probably a composition shift into marketable securities, not a burn (Q2: cash $93,522M + securities $6,487M = $100.0B; a reported ~$90B Q3 total implies −$10.0B, matching EBITDA−capex of −$10.78B). The ~$90B is from replies, not a primary.
- CLOSES ON: the Q3 10-Q on SEC EDGAR, CIK 1181412 — short-term marketable securities, total liquidity, total debt, cash-flow statement. “Not yet filed as of " is also an answer.
- GOPHER: ⬜ · CLAUDE: ⬜ · STATE: OPEN
(either party proposes here; promotion needs instrument + closing artefact + date)
